• A Little Something About Pesci, Accompanied With Some Personal Thoughts...

I was born in New Jersey and raised in Southern California since I was 2 years old, so that pretty much makes me a Cali native. My mom was a single mother of one with my little bro, Frankie, on the way when she decided to open an atlas, close her eyes and stop her finger on our new place of residency. Well, as fate may have it, she stopped on Palm Springs, California. So here we are still to this day.

I started gettin into Graff in 1989. Early on I had a fascination with drawing and cartoons. I remember when I was 4 years old my mom caught me writing on my bedroom wall with crayons, she made me scrub it off too. However, I really didn't learn the lesson too well did I. But I loved to draw, from pre-school to now. That was my favorite thing to do in school, it certainly wasn't listening to the teacher! So when I finished my two years at College of the Desert I decided to go to art school. I did 2 years in 1 and graduated from Platt College in 2001. I have been in the field of Graphic Design for over 7 years now and it has had it ups and downs. Man, life as an artist has not always been the easiest profession to be a part of but its always rewarding when you accomplish a piece that you are proud of, be it Graff or Graphics. Nevertheless, the combo of the 2 mediums lends to a deeper and more elaborate way for me to paint something unique. That is always the bottom line with me and art. I want to put it to paint! Everything I do is always a means to painting it! It is truly my favorite thing of all. Now adays with all that in mind, I just want to do what I love and make a living at it too! That's the American Dream! Dare I dream it!

• How He Came Up With The Name "PESCI "

How I concocted the name Pesci started at my friend Doyle's house. We were watching Goodfellas and then it came to me... PESCI. At the time, I needed to change my tag because of one reason or another so I wanted something original, something I had never seen or heard before! You have lots of common writer names, as most can imagine. So I wanted to have a name with dope letters in it and would stand out as one of a kind. I immediately started bombing the name. I practiced incessantly as a teenage writer because it was all about getting UP and getting BETTER! I made it my focus to get good at the craft, of which I am still working towards. Excellence is achieved by always striving to perfection and never thinking you're the best or that you don't need to practice. That has pretty much been my attitude since day one.... PRACTICE & REMAIN TEACHABLE! If I cant paint then I need to draw or be on the computer, otherwise I feel like a bodybuilder not working out! I believe that's probably why I am still around, still doing it. I'm an artist, it's just who I am... Thanks for visiting!
